Today, Lake County Board Chairman Aaron Lawlor announced he will appoint Vance Wyatt, Foss Park District Board President, to the County Board's 14th District left vacant by the passing of long-time Board Member Audrey Nixon.

Local representatives who attended the town hall were newly elected Lake County Board member Vance Wyatt, Lake County Board member Mary Ross Cunningham, Waukegan’s 3rd Ward Ald. Greg Moisio, Ald. Lisa May, 7th, and Ald. David Villalobos, 4th.

"I voted against putting the question on the Ballot since it will have no impact," Lake County Board District 14 representative Vance D. Wyatt told the Lake County Gazette. "

*Park City and North Chicago’s 14th, where incumbent Democrat Vance Wyatt will face three challengers from within his party —Angelo Kyle, Bonny Mayfield and Richard Otero-Cintron.
